We will be holding both Technician and General class licensing classes on August 14th and August 21st. Location is at Archbold Hospital and the sessions last from 9 to 5 with an hour break for lunch. See below for more info.

Please note you need your book ahead of time to really be prepared for the sessions as, especially for General, there is a lot of material to absorb in two days. Those that do best take the time to review the material ahead of time, take practice tests online between the class sessions, find out what their weak areas are, and concentrate on those areas.

The August meeting will be the first Saturday in August, August 7th. As always the meeting will be at the Plaza Restaurant in downtown Thomasville.

The meeting itself starts at 7:30 pm but most folks show up around 6 pm for supper. All are welcome to attend, licensed or not, member or not. Join us!

Since there will be no club nets in July to announce this, it’s about time we say something about the friday morning breakfast.

A few months ago a group of us started meeting on Friday mornings for a “radio” breakfast. After a few weeks at Chick Fil-E we gave Grandaddy’s a try and have pretty much settled in there.

8:30 a.m. is the official time though some come a bit earlier and some may show later. It really doesn’t matter as it tends to last a good long while, until the last few who remain are talked out.

This is an informal breakfast and all are welcome to attend.  Grandaddy’s is on the south side of Smith Ave (Hwy 84) between Pinetree Blvd. and 319. There’s plenty of room in the back dining room where we hang out.
