Ever talked to a B-17?

From Guy, K4GTM, in Savannah

The time have finally arrived. On Wed, July 13 we will be operating from the radio compartment of the B-17 “City of Savannah” at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum between 4:00pm and 5:00pm EST. We plan to try 7.200 Mhz to start with since that seemed to work real well for us today during testing. We’ll move around from there based on propagation and go back to 7.200 periodically. We will be using our new callsign WW2COS. We will be transmitting on a modern Kenwood TS-480 and receiving on a fully restored WW2 era BC-348 receiver. Listen up for us if you can.
